Description

Japanese white bread crumbs are made by baking bread through an electrical current, resulting in a bread without a crust. The bread is ground to create fine slivers of crumb. Compared to most types of breading found in Western cuisine, it has a crisper and airier texture, and is resistant to absorbing oil or grease when fried. This results in an overall lighter coating. This product is halal-certified. Store in a cool and dark environment.

Details

Also known as panko, our Redman Japanese White Bread Crumbs is a product of Malaysia and is used for its light airy texture. It retains less oil and fat after frying as compared to standard bread crumbs. These bread crumbs are lower in calories, fat and sodium than regular bread crumbs. This makes it a great healthier option. This product is available in packets of 150g, 400g and 1kg.

How to use
This product is commonly used to create a crispy coating on your food such as fish fillets, chicken breasts and pork cutlet. The flakes are larger which helps to give a defined texture to your dish. You can create great faux-fried foods by lightly spraying food coated with these bread crumbs with cooking oil and then 'oven-frying' it.
