Demerara sugar is used as a healthier replacement of granulated sugar in baking and other food recipes. It is often stirred or mixed into your product until fully dissolved. Alternatively, it can also be used as a topping for your food or drink.


Demerara sugar is pale amber in colour, and has large grains which provide a crunchy tecture in baking. It is less processed than regular white sugar and retains more vitamins and minerals and has crunchy texture and is brown in colour. This product is available in packs of 250g and 1kg and is a product of Mauritius.

How to use
Demerara sugar is suitable for a variety of baked goods such as banana cake, rhubard crumble and German apple cake recipe. It is also ideal for sweetening coffee, sprinkling on cereals/muesli products or as a crunchy topping for chocolate cakes.
