Blackcurrants are reminiscent of summer sunshine when they reach their peak harvest season in France. Ravifruit Blackcurrant Frozen Fruit Purée encapsulates the vibrant summer with its succulent, tart flavour and authentic full-bodied blackcurrant fragrance wafting through the coutryside. The rich, reddish purple juice of blackcurrant lends a gorgeous natural dye to desserts, pastries and savoury creations.
Blackcurrants are also fermented into crème de cassis, a dark red liqueur which is the fundemental ingredient for Kir, a popular French cocktail made with crème de cassis topped with white wine.
Ravifruit does not pasteurize its' blackcurrant puree to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
