Description
Light corn syrup is often used in recipes for candy, popcorn and sweet treats. It adds some sweetness without any additional flavour or colouring. It also extends the shelf life of food, and is great for recipes involving baked goods as it keeps the product moist. It is also not uncommon to find this added to recipes that require a smoothing agent such as ice cream, as it prevents sugar from crystallizing and can withstand high temperatures. Similar to other sweet additives, this product should be kept at room temperature. It should also be kept dry.
