Our Unbleached Bread Flour is a product of Germany and is halal-certified. Our unbleached flour undergoes the natural aging process after being milled, giving it an off-white colour, which continues to dull as it ages. Bread flour contains a higher amount of protein (12.8*-13.8%) as compared to all-purpose flour, which results in a chewy and airy texture when baked. It often replaces all-purpose flour as the main ingredient in baking. It is, however, important to note that it can only be used specifically for the baking of breads or buns. It is packed in a ISO22000 certified facility.

Bread flour gives bread a chewy texture due to its higher protein levels as compared to all-purpose flour. The flour is made from hard wheat varieties, giving it the name strong flour. Unbleached flour has a denser grain and tougher texture, which will provide a better structure for your bread. However, both bleached or unbleached flours can be used interchangeably, and choosing one flour over the other will not make much of a difference to your final product's taste. Unbleached bread flour requires significant kneading to create a good gluten structure and to increase its chewiness. This product creates breads and buns with fine textures, excellent aromas and good quality. It also provides bread with a volume and has good mixing tolerance. This product is best stored in an airtight container, in a dry and cool place.

How to use

Bread flour is used at the start of your meal preparation, and is mixed into the dough along with other ingredients, as specified in your recipe. It can also be used to keep your sourdough starter alive.

Bread flour is recommended for bread recipes only. Some examples include banana bread and pandan flavoured bread. Multigrain recipes may also involve the use of bread flour.
